Some people have a giving spirit; helping others is part of their DNA.
Some people have the unique ability to inspire others to give. Their character is genuine, their motives pure, their methods are upright, and their posture is humble. Dustin had this ability.
Dustin’s heart inspired giving, especially during the Christmas season. The Do It for Dustin Christmas Drive keeps that inspiration rollin’!
The First Annual Do It for Dustin CHRISTmas Drive was a great success that was a result of several generous people and companies.
With donations of money, toys for children, and other gifts, we were able to bring joy to families in the midst of custody battles. A tough situation became a season of joy.
Thanks to everyone who gave that others might receive!
Everyday we must strive to make compassion be our focal point. By simply showing up with compassion for others we lessen the sting of our own situation and allow ourselves to venture down the tiny opening of love and allow a sliver of light to shine in. The connection with other people helps to see God in the faces we face which brings comfort that allows us to keep going. “God cares enough about me that he offers joy, wherever I am, regardless of circumstance.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
This year’s Christmas Drive planning is underway and we would love to have you participate.
You can sponsor a child or a family that we have already identified. You can also nominate a child or family to be on the receiving end of some holiday giving. Nominations should be emailed to the DI4D Christmas committee with details and someone will reach out to you to discuss your nomination.
Monetary contribution can be made on the donations page at any time of the year, too!
